Session 6: Formative Feedback – Making Assessment Work for Learning (Not Just Grading)
Discover how to use informal assessments and provide timely, actionable feedback that supports student growth—without being buried in grading. This session will focus on equity-minded assessment practices that help you gather meaningful data, check for understanding in real time, and adjust instruction to meet diverse learner needs.

Why Attend?
Feedback is one of the most powerful drivers of student success. When it’s clear, specific, and immediately usable, feedback can transform learning outcomes. By integrating ongoing assessment with responsive teaching strategies, you’ll build a classroom culture where all students have the opportunity to improve and thrive. We’ll explore themes of communication, building an ability mindset, and making thoughtful content selections in all curricula.
