First Generation Student Luncheon
FIRESIDE CHAT + FIRST GEN STUDENT LUNCH
You are invited to join us for a luncheon that celebrates your accomplishments as a First-Generation College Student.
On November 8th, we joined the Council for Opportunity in Education and institutions across the country to celebrate National First-Generation College Celebration Day. This date marks the signing of the Higher Education Act of 1965, which expanded access to higher education for countless students, including first-generation pioneers.
We will celebrate this day during a Fireside Chat on November 18th and we encourage all our first-generation students to attend. Students will hear from speaker Christopher Crater, a proud first-gen graduate who is doing phenomenal work with students in relation to the Obama Foundation. Lunch and activities will be provided.
Please join us as the NLU community celebrates you, your determination, strength, and accomplishments!
*Lunch will be provide on a first come basis. We encourage students to arrive early.
